Visual WAO is piece of software that provides a development environment (Visual WAO Development Tool) and an execution environment (communication I/F module) for applications developed with Windows Forms to work natively in HTTP.
A three-tiered (client, application server, database server) application is developed using Windows Forms in Visual Studio. Then, a Visual WAO DLL, which is automatically generated with the license-free Visual WAO Development Tool, is placed on the client side and on the application server side. Doing so, the Visual WAO DLLs perform the role of a communication I/F module, exchanging information between the client and application server.
On the client side, just by downloading and placing the Visual WAO DLL and screen parts, there is no need to do an install. If the Visual WAO DLL or application screen parts are revised, latest module differences will be checked when accessing the application server from the client side, and the client side modules will be automatically revamped. Therefore, managing the client side is totally unnecessary. There’s also no need to install Silverlight or Flash plug-ins.
Many developers are giving shape to their ideas by utilizing Visual WAO to develop unhampered and unfettered Web systems.
